Wolves are an exotic species in South Africa, so we receive no government funding. Every wolf here depends entirely on people who choose to help.
The Tsitsikamma Wolf Sanctuary is a self-funded, registered non-profit. We take in wolves and wolf dogs that have nowhere else to go, and we care for them for life. That care never stops, and it isn't cheap.
It costs at least R3,000 to R5,000 per wolf, every month, once food, fuel to fetch donated meat, enclosure maintenance and veterinary fees are counted. Across a pack of around twenty, that's R60,000 to R100,000 a month before a single unexpected vet bill or storm repair. Your donation or sponsorship is what makes it possible.

Fences, upkeep and enrichment that keep a large wild animal safe, secure and stimulated.
Our wolf adoptions are symbolic, but the difference they make is real. Adopt a wolf on your own, with someone, or as a whole pack, or gift an adoption to the person who has everything. Your annual sponsorship goes straight to your wolf's food, care and home.
